ICAO Identifiers
Enter one or more ICAO identifiers in the ICAO box, then
press ENTER (on a desktop browser) or Next
(on a mobile device) or move to another field. You may use almost
anything to separate identifiers: spaces, commas, semicolons, …
The selected stations
will then be parsed and added to a list. Individual stations can then
be removed from the list by using the 🗑 button, or new ones added as described above.
Dates
Enter the earliest date for which you require reports in the
Date From field and the latest date in the Date Until
field. Note that Date Until must always be latter than
Date From —except that it can be left blank, to indicate
“as late as possible”.
The manner in which dates are entered depends on your browser
and device. Some platforms may offer a date picker, while in others
you will enter a date by hand, typically in year-month-day ISO-8601
format. If the page does not detect a valid date, the
Submit
Request
button will not be active.
Note that it is not possible to enter times. Therefore, the
minimum period for which you may request reports is an entire day.
Should this become a problem for you for whatever reason, please
let us know via the contact page so we can improve the design.
Report Types
Check the METAR and/or TAF boxes as appropriate.
If both are checked, results will be returned in chronological order,
with METAR and TAF reports interspersed.
Request Results
On hitting the Submit
Request button, reports will be retrieved from the server
and the results will be updated. Data which has already been fetched
will not usually be downloaded again unless the server thinks there
may be newer data available.
Results will be displayed in a list, in reverse chronological
order, below the request form.
If changes have been made to the form, they will be taken into
account when resubmitting the request. If the changes only involve
removing data (such as unticking a report type or removing a station
from the list), the affected data will be removed from the results
list but no communication with the server takes place, unless the
remaining results need refreshing, e.g., if they are more than a
few (typically ten) minutes old.
Accessibility
For ease of navigation (mainly on desktop systems), some shortcut
keys are available that will take you directly to a specific form
field or element of the window. Those shortcuts consist of a
system-dependent key combination (e.g., Alt +
Shift on Firefox).
The list of shortcuts is as follows:
I ICAO form entry field.
F Date From form entry field.
U Date Until form entry field.
M METAR report type.
T TAF report type.
S Submit request.
D Download results to file.
